I was swimming in the rain,
And I wondered, and I wondered:
How could it just take away
All of my pain?
When I was below the water,
It squeezed all my pain out,
What kind of pressure it was?
When I was above the water,
The cold needles poked me gently,
A healing acupressure it was!
World was so dim around!
And the entire sky was painted grey.
The clouds marched upon, right there above,
Making it sombre in every possible way.
Lost in the moment,
And there struck me this thought:
That this shower would be stopping soon,
And I would have to come out of the pool.
I won’t leave any of the bliss it had brought!
The notion had come like a hiccup,
And like an exhale it had left.
What could it had have done after all?
It was a mere thought,
How come could it have made any theft?

I was swimming in the Rain
