Magical Mist

All the way through this garden of mist,
I walked ahead as I couldn't resist.
All I began with was to wander and wander,
and all about the winter's charm I started to ponder.
Everything around was silent and still,
neither the pond nor the swings were visible;
Not even that enormous hill.
In leather boots and a coat of fur,
I saw the naked trees,
and they all were blur.
And I saw a couple over that bench,
they did have smoked corn.
They were having a kiss,
they wore hats to adorn.
Then I saw some people sitting by the fire,
Roasting marshmallows over the brazier.
I walked ahead and saw a fawn,
Worth it was to visit in that dawn;
Else, I would have been sitting in that lawn.
Cold and cozy had been this December,
Its serene beauty I'll always remember.
