City Pours

Descending droplets,
That were shrouded by the night,
As a vehicle passed by,
were revealed by the headlight.
From here I behold,
this city traffic and the noise.
Lightning strikes and the dark clouds,
Enraptured by the rain's voice.
When it pours I always ponder-
Between the rain and the soul...
What's the relation? Interrupted by the weather so puckish,
As it gives a spine chilling sensation.
Those wet and delicate flower petals,
Carpet the road beneath the tree.
Sitting here I witness all this,
Sipping this perfect cup of tea.
